At ResumeCraft AI, we believe that your professional career history, contact details, earnings, achievements, and aspirations are strictly your private intellectual property. Unlike legacy resume builders that store your sensitive information on remote cloud servers or sell candidate profiles to recruiters, ResumeCraft AI is built on a Local-First Architecture.

The ResumeCraft AI Guarantee: Your resume data NEVER leaves your personal browser window. We have zero remote databases, zero user-tracking analytics, and zero advertising pixels.

02. Information We Process

When you use ResumeCraft AI, you enter biographical data into the browser interface, including:

  • Personal Contact Data: Full name, professional title, email address, telephone number, city/location, and portfolio URLs (LinkedIn, GitHub, Personal Website).
  • Career History: Employment titles, company names, start/end dates, and job accomplishment bullet points.
  • Education & Credentials: Institutions, degrees, graduation dates, grade point averages, and professional certifications.
  • Core Competencies & Skills: Programming languages, frameworks, cloud platforms, and tooling skills.
  • Target Job Descriptions: Text pasted into the Job Match Radar tool for algorithmic ATS keyword comparison.

03. How Your Data is Processed & Stored

All data processing is executed entirely within your client device's browser runtime using client-side JavaScript (V8 / SpiderMonkey / JavaScriptCore).

  • No Remote Storage: There is no backend database connected to this web application. We do not maintain MySQL, MongoDB, Firebase, or cloud storage buckets for user profiles.
  • Local Browser Storage: To prevent accidental loss of work when refreshing the page, your resume draft is saved only inside your personal browser's localStorage sandbox. This data is physically stored on your hard drive and is accessible only to you.
  • Data Clearance: You can completely purge all stored resume records from your computer at any time by clicking Sample Profiles → "Clear All & Start Blank" or clearing your browser cache.

04. ATS Telemetry & Machine Learning Scoring

The ATS Telemetry engine performs real-time algorithmic scanning (measuring word count, action verbs, keyword density, section headers, and layout compliance). This analysis occurs 100% locally on your CPU/RAM. No text is transmitted to external artificial intelligence APIs, LLM vendors, or analytics servers.

05. File Exports & Downloads

  • PDF Generation: PDF printing uses your browser's native print engine (window.print()) and CSS print media stylesheets. The rendered PDF is created locally on your machine without third-party PDF server rendering.
  • JSON Backups: Exported JSON files are generated via client-side Blob URLs (data:text/json) and downloaded directly to your local storage.
  • Plain-Text Copying: Copying text for ATS systems interacts directly with the standard browser clipboard API.

06. Third-Party Fonts & Assets

ResumeCraft AI references Google Fonts (Inter, Outfit, Merriweather, JetBrains Mono) via secure preconnected CDN links to provide professional typography. When your browser requests these font files, your browser sends standard HTTP headers (such as IP address) to Google's public CDN as standard internet protocol. Google's privacy policy applies to those asset requests. No personal resume content is ever transmitted with font requests.

07. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

ResumeCraft AI uses zero tracking cookies, zero third-party marketing cookies, zero Facebook pixels, and zero Google Analytics beacons. We do not track you across other websites.

08. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Access: You have immediate access to all your data at all times within the builder interface.
  • Right to Portability: You can export your full profile data into open JSON format at any moment.
  • Right to Erasure: Because all data is stored on your device, clearing your browser data or using the "Clear All & Start Blank" button deletes 100% of your records immediately.
  • No Sale of Personal Data: We never sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your personal data to anyone.
